hello and welcome to our vibrant Learning Community here at TVs yes I am mrs. and I have the absolute privilege of being your child's English teacher for 7th and 8th grade privilege and honor to teach Middle School mathematics. Licking Valley Charter School Mr Sorenson the 7th and 8th grade science teacher UPS long lasting connections with countless students I have had multiple students and families that have three four five six children and I talked all of them and it actually feels my heart to see former students return to volunteer and reach out on that sense of community and connection is truly what makes PVCs special in my classroom every student is valued and seen I believe in giving them agency over their learning so whether we're diving into the pages of a thrilling story is a whole class or they're doing personal reading or were exploring the depths of historical events I strive to create an immersive learning environment just lost this past week we embarked on a fascinating journey into the past with r program after school where we delved into the mysteries of the Titanic from conservation versus restoration discussions to Hands-On art factor analysis our classroom projects are always fools educational in here but also cuz I I placed a really strong emphasis on social emotional learning so I can ensure that our students are not just successful feeling safe and supported inside the classroom but they're also empowered to succeed outside of the classroom as well and I am are you to join us on this journey where every child in my opinion is valued and every voice is heard and every day is filled with something exciting and new possibilities history teacher Bob mussel Caro class known as leadership which is student government or another place is known as ASP it's really engaging class students part a game a lot of community service events well so do who can dry eyes were as we are for advanced we also wanted to be proactive with the community and also to give back to the community this class is really a great class for students to get to learn how to be public speaker as well as be able to contribute back to being unique offer accelerated classes in the attics in 6th 7th and 8th grade we also provide intervention for those students who need it my goal here as your child's math teacher is not just a teacher child mask steps to help them learn and grow in math and maybe love it a little bit more than they did before they come in and my goal is also to prepare them for high school that's Attucks right to help and be accessible when they get up to high school so to do that I helped build their fluency and I'm both procedural and conceptual understanding I'm also excited to announce that we have a new math team of mathletes this year that we started we will be competing at at cvuu versiti for a math competition here very soon and we also have a Rubik's Cube team that's competing in the spring to do the best we can with your child so that they are moving on from 8th grade being successful high schoolers and eventually successful adults explore our website and see all the great things that were off www.tv CS cougars.com and call her number and schedule a tour we are offering those weekly on Fridays from 9 to 10 but also recognize that parents have busy schedules and her happy to schedule those at other times we would love to show you what makes TV CIA a special place for you and your family
