hey everyone dismisses MBA and Big Ideas has now fix their online math book so I wanted to send out a quick little video tutorial to help you out assess the Big Ideas online math book and the video examples for each lesson so this is a quick little tutorial and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes the best way to access your book is to hear clever app and I'm not sure if parents have access to so I know the student definitely can get to their clever app Soma show you how to get to it from there so we go to clever and clever provides connections to all of the apps that we use and shoes Big Ideas now when you choose a Big Ideas Math this automatically opens up to this page is the homepage has the resource Library this pays that year looking at from my screen is the teacher version so the teacher version has stopped more options because we're teachers than the student loans so they still have colorful boxes that look like this to still labeled as such but they won't have all the same ones that I do when I'm going to focus on is the student Dynamic so they all have this provided can you find this one it's a student Dynamic ebook and click that but they click the e-book it'll bring up a page to their specific book so on my example you see all four books I'm with the big Ideas Middle School curriculum including the algebra 1 book and your student would have one of these books specific to them unless I opened up several books for their class so for the sake of this video I'm going to choose the red book course 2 did it which is their book if this is the first time they're using this it'll come to this cover page it just like the front of their page and the best way to navigate to the book is on the left hand side here using the table contents so using the table contents it opens up all of the chapters including some vocabulary answers did answers and I let the students know that the selected answer page usually provides answers to the odds and you'll notice 1357. So this is another resource that I will choose to use often if I need to see to have access to some answers to double-check what they're doing but against of these are all the chapters will just choose one right now like chapter 5 we're in chapter five right now so I'm I'm going to choose stop chapter 5 in fact I'm going to be more specific I'ma click this box and choose 5.1 it'll take me right to the lesson so these are activities so the beginning of every lesson has said activities that students can do in class sometimes we do these in class to prepare for the lesson not always and I go through some pages there's usually three to four activities and there lay the such that says activity skip to the beginning of the lesson is what what what I teach you'll find that all say the lesson right here at the top left-hand Corner everything's labeled very very user-friendly and this is just exactly like the inside of their book you have example one example to the next pages example three sometimes four and five examples for example for and then after examples come the exercises and then where I sign the homework so one of the neat things is now they have access to their homework questions if they don't have their book with them and they can zoom in as much as they need to access these problems which they're going to write 90 / and give it back to me with pencil what are the neat features of this book online is if you use this America sir and you see that there's a Golden Circle here if they're struggling on any of these problems and it tells him to go back to this example it's a hyperlink and it'll take them back to example 1 and example 2 in this case but there's example one where we started I'll show you that one more time call Regina practice examples of zoom out and they need some additional help maybe with these tables they would choose the arrow cursor and this is a hyperlink noticed how my cursor changes when I have her over the circle I'll take him back to example to where they can refer to the example in the book If the example the book is not completely helping them they have a video option so this red circle with the white Arrow inside is a bit I noticed how my cursor again changes when I have her over it so I'm going to click the video and I'm not going to play the video right now because it seems to interfere with the audio of this tutorial that you can see that the videos are in here and a person will speak them through the examples similar to a Khan Academy video but not Sal Khan himself so it comes with a variety of people that help them to these less can you can you can play this an option to play the audio in Spanish there's also another option once you click play to get closed captioning so Rihanna took back every example his exam do I show you how example one also has a video here's a video for example one so against another video they can watch all of these if they need help so each other's out each example comes with its own video and that was just a resource that was real excited to get in your pants so that you can have access to it if there's ever a time that you just wanted some more resources at home there's a lot more that you can access through this on my book but this tutorials just to help you have fun with these videos and see the examples of what's going on as well as get exercises before I am in this video I'd like to add I'm not sure that this works completely on an Apple iPhone but I know it does work on a computer at home if they need it as well as the Chromebooks all right so if you have any questions after please email me and let me know
