Assignment

We are off to a great start this semester continuing our study of genetics.  The students reviewed Punnett Squares and genetics terms and we also reviewed the process of meiosis.  They will have a test on this information on Wednesday of next week.  The study guide for this test will be attached below.
Next, we will be moving from the micro towards the macro by studying tissues, organs, and organ systems in plants and animals.  Following our study organ systems, we will move onto how the organisms they make are classified and how they interact with each other in our studies on ecology.  Theories on how all of our living systems came into being will cap off our studies on Biology this year.
Labs this semester will focus heavily on dissections, which I love!  I'm so excited!  Here we go!!!

RNA, Protein Synthesis, and Mutations Test Friday 12/4!

Hope you all had a wonderfully restful Thanksgiving break!  We are jumping in with two feet this week.  The students completed our study of RNA, protein synthesis, and mutations today.  We will be reviewing in class tomorrow and taking the test on this unit Friday.  The terms are up on Quizlet and they can review their notes for the test Friday.

Following this test, we will be heading into our genetics unit.  Fun! Fun!
